          Disposition of the MH-47G Helicopters

             As of March 2006, we had generally a good idea what became of the 25 G model Chinooks manufactured for the U.S. Army - they went to various elements of the 160th Special Operation Aviation Regiment (Airborne) - "Nightstalkers".
