             05-08011, Boeing Vertol Tab Number M8011, was a CH-47F helicopter. The U.S. Army acceptance date was 13 December 2006. As of 13 December 2006, 05-08011 accumulated 19.1 aircraft hours.

   05-08011 was a new build airframe that utilized used power train and other components (blades, engines and transmissions, hydraulics, etc.).

   05-08011 was initially assigned to B Company - "Varsity", 7th Battalion, 101st Airborne Division, located at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

   In the Spring of 2008, 05-08012 was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).

   On or about 14 October 2009, 05-08011 was struck by a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) in the forward left electrical compartment. The aircraft was severely damaged and one crew member was injured. 05-08011 returned to its operating base of Kandahar under its own power.

   In November of 2009, 05-08011 was transported to Fort Campbell, Kentucky, for repairs.

   As of 14 November 2009, 05-08011 was 2.9 years old.

   As of 14 November 2009, the last known location of 05-08012 was at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

   Aircraft status: Undergoing maintenance.
