             06-08720, Boeing Vertol Tab Number M8720, was a CH-47F helicopter. The U.S. Army acceptance date was 30 September 2008. As of 30 September 2008, 06-08720 accumulated 9.5 aircraft hours.

   06-08720 was a new build airframe with all new components installed.

   06-08720 was initially assigned to B Company - "Flippers", 3rd General Support Aviation Battalion (GSAB), 82nd Airborne Division, located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

   At some point, in early 2009, 06-08720 was deployed with the "Flippers" in support of contingency operations during Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).

   On 13 June 2009, 06-08720 experienced an aft droop stop failure and during engine shut down an aft rotor blade contacted the fuselage causing structural damage.

   As of 15 August 2009, 06-08720 was at Kandahar, Afghanistan, undergoing repair.

   At some point, 06-08720 was assigned to B Company - "Pachyderms", 6th General Support Aviation Battalion (GSAB), 101st Aviation Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

   As of 19 November 2011, the last known location of 06-08720 was at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

   Aircraft status: Flyable.
